As Training Center Director, Joel Madrid strives to create a culture of Safety as well as educates and promotes a safety oriented work practice and training in the General Industry and Construction field. His background as a Safety Trainer in the Oilfield community has broadened his knowledge of industry practices & the need for proper Oilfield Safety Training. He is state certified in Texas as a Fireman by the National Fire Protection Association (Odessa College Fire Academy) and holds certificates from the following schools in various fields of study for Aviation Maintenance (Spartan School of Aeronautics). Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (Midland College). As well as certified as a Medic First Aid AED/CPR instructor (Texas Engineering Extension Services from Texas A&M) and is a part of the IVES Training Group.
